NeedWord Acceptable Use Policy

This Acceptable Use Policy ("Policy") supplements the NeedWord Terms of Service. It explains the rules for using NeedWord.

NeedWord is a private language-practice service operated by NaiadAI, LLC. You are responsible for your use of the service and for the content you submit.

You may not use NeedWord to

• violate any law, regulation, court order, or contractual obligation;
• infringe or misappropriate copyrights, trademarks, trade secrets, privacy rights, publicity rights, or other rights;
• submit content you do not have the right to use with the service;
• harass, threaten, defame, exploit, or abuse others;
• create, request, or distribute sexual content involving minors or otherwise exploitative content;
• promote or facilitate violence, terrorism, human trafficking, or serious physical harm;
• create malware, phishing, credential theft, spam, or other abuse;
• attempt to bypass NeedWord's geographic, billing, rate-limit, usage, safety, or access controls;
• use NeedWord if sanctions, embargoes, export controls, or similar legal restrictions prohibit your access;
• scrape, crawl, bulk extract, reverse engineer, or systematically copy the service except where expressly allowed by law;
• use NeedWord outputs to build or populate a competing service;
• benchmark, evaluate, or monitor NeedWord for a competing product without our written permission;
• probe, scan, or test the vulnerability of NeedWord except as part of a good-faith security report sent to us;
• access or attempt to access another user's account, data, conversations, flashcards, audio, exports, or billing information;
• interfere with service operation, provider integrations, model routing, prompts, safety controls, or account systems;
• submit prompts, instructions, or files intended to extract secrets, system prompts, credentials, private keys, or other non-public information.

Learning content and copyright

NeedWord is for personal language learning. Do not submit textbooks, paid courses, paywalled articles, transcripts, or other copyrighted material unless you have the rights needed to use that material with NeedWord.

If you believe content in NeedWord infringes your copyright, contact us with:

• identification of the copyrighted work;
• identification of the allegedly infringing material;
• your contact information;
• a good-faith statement that the use is not authorized;
• a statement that the information is accurate and that you are authorized to act for the rightsholder.

Security reports

We welcome good-faith security reports. Do not access, modify, delete, export, or disclose another user's data. Do not degrade the service or run destructive tests. Send reports to [email protected].

Enforcement

We may remove content, limit features, suspend or terminate accounts, cancel subscriptions, preserve evidence, notify affected users, or contact law enforcement or service providers when we believe this Policy has been violated or when needed to protect NeedWord, users, providers, or the public.

Where reasonable, we may give you a chance to correct a non-willful issue. For serious, repeated, illegal, abusive, or security-related violations, we may act without advance notice.
